About Medicare.

Medicare is a health insurance for people ages 65 or older. A person is first eligible to sign up for Medicare three months before they turn 65. However, younger individuals with certain disabling conditions may also qualify. It’s important to apply as soon as you are eligible to avoid any potential late enrollment penalties. Senior Advocate Services is a one-stop shop, here to help simplify the process.

Identifying needs

Applying to Medicaid is like a puzzle – all the pieces need to be gathered to form the big picture. Your first call should be to Senior Advocate Services. With so many variations of Medicaid, it is important to have a full and complete discussion about the issues that are prompting the discussion of Medicaid.

Confirming eligibility

Senior Advocate Services will help sort through the variables to identify if and when an applicant will be eligible for Medicaid. We’ll review your situation through the eyes of a medical examiner to be proactive with solutions. It is first important understand the eligibility requirements and perform a full financial review.

Collecting information

As part of our services, we will obtain any document that you cannot easily access, including 60 months of financial information and copies of required transactions proving source of deposits and withdrawals. We’ll also chase down any missing documentation by visiting vital statistic offices or obtaining and completing required authorization forms.

Financial review

An experienced representative will then work with you to perform a review of all assets and resources as they relate to Medicaid eligibility. Your questions about what counts and what does not will be addressed and you can expect to have a full understanding of how we came up with the eligibility date and what can and cannot be done with existing resources as they relate to Medicaid.

Submitting your application

A Medicaid application can be all encompassing, and it is imperative to work within the system to obtain the appropriate coverage. With direct contact to the local Department of Social Services, Senior Advocate Services has the experience to complete the application for you. We’ll maintain records of submissions and interactions with the agency and meet all deadlines. And we’ll update you regularly until the process is complete, so you can focus on spending time with your loved one.
